Daniel Homola

I design and develop AI systems at BMW Research, currently leading the development of an in-car AI agent that operates graphical user interfaces (LLM computer use / GUI agent). This represents the next generation of human-computer interaction, turning voice assistants into agentic systems that autonomously complete complex user tasks through the vehicle's interface.

At BMW, I have led AI solutions from concept to scale, serving as the technical lead for a team of engineers in China to take a system from a research prototype to production for the China market. I have also filed patents and published applied research.

In parallel, I am building a consumer AI-native health and fitness platform using wearable data for personalized conversational coaching. As a former basketball player and current endurance sports enthusiast, I am motivated to build technology that supports everyday fitness, healthspan, and sporting event preparation.

I bring an entrepreneurial mindset to science and engineering, with experience across startups and global organizations including BMW, Amazon, AT&T, and Honeywell. I am always learning, mentor students, and value knowledge-sharing.
